Welcome to My World of Yarn!
A Snapshot of My Life
Ever since I was very young, I loved creating with my hands, whether it was paper art, clothes made from fabric swatches (or cardboard), beaded bracelets, drawings and paintings - you name it! The love of making things only grew through school, marriage, and all the jobs I've worked. Now I have the opportunity to share my work with the world.

I have always wanted to share my artwork, mainly drawings and paintings at first, but I didn't have the confidence to do so. This was all turned on it's head when I was introduced to crochet, more specifically amigurumi, by my Mother-in-Law. I initially started making dogs for my soon to be Nephew and then I realized I couldn't stop! Crochet was so enticing that it felt natural to learn, and the possibilities of what you can make are endless. With the new found confidence I had in being able to do amigurumi, I knew the Lord was opening doors to start a new chapter in my life.
Starting Brush N Hook
This business has been a dream come true, but the road to building it wasn't all sunshine and roses. In the beginning, and honestly still now, I struggled accepting that people would find value in the care and attention I dedicate to my work, but as the orders started piling up, I saw that people really do value quality handmade items. I know I'm not even half way there yet, but I am excited for what comes next!

More to Come
Now that you know a little about me, and as I grow in my art and business, I will be sharing my journey here, including the amigurumi tricks and tips I learn along the way!
